Kerry Wall has been teaching dance and acrobatics in the Midwest and Southeast for 10 years. She is a licensed educator in both K-12 dance and Secondary English. She has a Bachelor of Science in Dance and English from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Her Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Licensure in Dance Education is from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte School.
Originally from Algonquin, Kerry was a varsity member, captain, choreographer and assistant coach of the Dundee Crown High School Dance Team. She is happy to be moving home to the Chicagoland area again – and to be planning her wedding!
While in Charlotte, Kerry had the pleasure of being the Morrison School Of Dance Program Director for two years. She is also in her seventh year with Universal Dance Association (UDA) as head camp instructor and competition judge where she works with dance teams across the country.
Kerry has performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and the Capitol One Bowl in Orlando, Florida. She has worked with many choreographers including Ethan Balcos, Jin Wen Yu Dance Company, Chris Walker, Jeremy Nelson, Alan Sener, Susan Marshall, Optima Dance Theatre and Ashley Selmer.
Kerry is a versatile performer with training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Ballroom, Musical Theater, Pom/High Kick and Acrobatics. She hopes to build a Pom and Acrobatic program at Dixon Dance Academy. These classes should enhance our current dancers’ training and entice new dancers to join. We are blesses to have her back in our studio to share her expertise with our dancers!
