Callie Marik

Instructor

Callie began dancing recreationally at the age of 3 at Dance Motions in Bartlett, IL, taking classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, and tap. At the age of 15 she began to take dance much more serious. Wanting to take her passion into a career she began training at the Faubourg School of ballet under the direction of Watmora Casey and Tatianna Mazura. To supplement her home training she also took classes at The Joffrey School in Chicago, Lou Conte Dance Studio, and Visceral Dance Studio. She also spent summers training at Milwaukee School of Ballet, Interlochen School of the Arts, and Ballet Camp Illinois.

Callie went on to dance at the University of Illinois Chicago as a Dancing Flame, placing 2nd in Orlando, Florida at the Universal Dance Association College Nationals. She now enjoys her new found passion of teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and lyrical while still attending college.
